Raindrop Technique $90
Raindrop Technique® - so much more than just a massage! Imagine the sensation of sinking into a deep and blissful state of rest, as someone does the ancient Tibetan version of reflexology on your feet. As you slowly (even reluctantly) come back to your body and roll over, you experience the gentle splashes as therapeutic grade essential oils are applied up your spine and to your tired muscles. These oils are then “feathered in” using a spine-tingling technique inspired by the Native Americans,
combined with massage. You can’t get more pampered than this!
About Raindrop Technique: Raindrop Technique is an exciting new modality, which can be performed on both people and animals. In addition to being performed as a technique in its own right, the various elements of Raindrop Technique can be used to complement most other modalities, including massage (all forms), reflexology, bowen technique, shiatsu, chiropractic and physiotherapy.
Raindrop Technique derives its name from the art of dripping unadulterated, therapeutic-grade essential oils onto the body from a height (like rain), so that the oils interact with the physical body as well as the energy field. This was inspired by the Native American belief that raindrops falling from a height may purify and cleanse the body and spirit. Because the essential oils easily penetrate the skin and muscles, the technique works on deep levels of the body without requiring hard pressure or force.
Raindrop Technique was developed by essential oil researcher and naturopath D. Gary Young due to research showing that many forms of spinal misalignment are caused by muscle spasms and inflammation-producing bacteria and viruses that reside along the spine.
The Steps of Raindrop Technique: Raindrop Technique is conducted in silence. Undistracted by sound and talking, the recipient is able to sink into a deep state of relaxation and self-connection. In this receptive state, inner “shifts” may more easily take place.
Raindrop Massage treatments usually begin with the feet. Your practitioner will drip essential oils on reflex points on the insides of both of your feet, and then perform the Vita Flex massage. It is common to feel a sensation of warmth after the essential oils are applied to your skin as well as during the Vita Flex massage. By the end of the foot treatment, you will start to feel relaxed and rejuvenated. The
therapeutic benefits of the essential oils will begin to take effect, and you will feel immersed in the pleasant fragrances of the essential oils.
Raindrop Massage technique is applied to the spine. The sensation of warmth, tingling, and relaxation becomes even more pronounced as the oils continue to be applied to the spine.
The massage technique feels very gentle and involves easy strokes, taps or rolling movements. The massage technique is designed to enhance absorption of the essential oils, but it also stimulate the reflex points. This promotes the release of toxins and supports healing and balance, and it also energizes the body.
A hot towel will be applied to your back to complete your Raindrop Massage treatment. Any back pain or discomfort you were experiencing prior to the Raindrop Massage will dissipate during treatment, and you will feel refreshed and energized. One of the most unique benefits of the Raindrop Massage technique is the long-lasting effects it has on the body and mood. The general sense of well-being that results from each treatment lasts for several days.
